Iris’ Cottage – the original farmhouse

A characterful 19th‑century farmhouse, lovingly restored to offer a cosy, flexible base for families and small groups.

Iris’ Cottage is named after Iris McFetridge, one of CAN’s first self‑advocates. Iris joined the organisation in 1999 and was part of the interview panel that appointed our current Chief Executive back in 2004. Naming this cottage after Iris celebrates the voice and leadership of people with learning disabilities at the heart of CAN.
